Board games have been loved for generations, and ludo is among the most popular in the world. LudoWin brings the classic game online as a skill-based platform where players compete in fair matches and earn rewards. Aveqro developed the mobile app, real-time game engine, and secure wallet system, creating a smooth experience where fairness, speed, and responsible play come first.
The challenge
Online multiplayer games are demanding to build. Moves must reach both players instantly, game state must stay perfectly synchronised, and the system must handle thousands of simultaneous matches. Because rewards are involved, fairness and security were even more critical. The client needed protection against cheating, a trustworthy wallet, and compliance features such as age and identity checks, all without making the game feel heavy.
Project goals
We defined these key goals with the LudoWin team:
- Deliver smooth real-time multiplayer matches with minimal lag
- Ensure fair play through server-controlled game logic
- Provide a secure wallet with clear deposits, winnings, and withdrawals
- Include identity verification and responsible play controls
- Build an architecture that scales during peak hours
Our approach
We began with a prototype of the core gameplay, so the team could feel the pace and rules before building anything else. Game designers refined the board, dice animations, and turn timers until matches felt exciting yet fair. In parallel, our architects planned a server-authoritative design, where all dice rolls and moves are validated on the server and never trusted from the device, which is the foundation of fair play.
Key features
LudoWin offers a complete gaming experience:
- Real-time multiplayer matches for two or four players with turn timers
- Private rooms for playing with friends
- A secure in-app wallet with transaction history
- Tournaments, daily challenges, and leaderboards
- Identity verification and spending limits for responsible play
- Reconnect handling so a dropped connection does not lose a match
Technology and architecture
The app is built with Flutter, delivering attractive animations on both Android and iOS. A Node.js backend using Socket.IO handles real-time communication, while Redis stores live match state for speed and MongoDB keeps player profiles and records. Dice outcomes are generated server side with auditable randomness, and every game action is logged. Payment gateways are integrated through secure server calls, and the architecture can add servers horizontally as player numbers grow.
Overcoming technical challenges
Real-time reliability on mobile networks was the biggest hurdle. We added heartbeat checks, automatic reconnection, and a grace period that lets players rejoin without penalty. Anti-fraud systems monitor for suspicious behaviour such as multiple accounts or unusual win patterns. Load testing with simulated players helped us tune the system before launch, so matches stayed smooth even during busy evenings and tournaments.
Results and impact
LudoWin launched with stable gameplay and a growing community of regular players. Matches start quickly, reconnections work reliably, and the clear wallet history has built trust. The platform meets the client's goals for fairness and performance, and its scalable design supports new game formats. Operators are also expected to follow the laws and regulations that apply in each region where the platform is offered.
In competitive games, fairness is the feature that every other feature depends on.
Looking ahead
The roadmap includes additional board games, social features, and expanded tournament formats. If you are planning a multiplayer game or real-time platform, the team at Aveqro Technologies can help you build it with performance and fairness at its core.
