Sweet Symphony is a bakery known for beautiful custom cakes and cupcakes, but ordering them meant long phone calls and messages. Aveqro created an online ordering experience that lets customers design, price, and order their dream cake in minutes.
The challenge
Custom cakes involve many decisions: size, flavour, filling, decoration, message, delivery date, and dietary needs. Taking all that information by phone was slow, and details were sometimes misunderstood. The bakery also needed to protect its capacity, as each cake takes hours of skilled work. The website had to be as inviting as the cakes themselves, while capturing every detail accurately and managing delivery slots sensibly.

Our approach
We began with a tasting of the bakery itself, learning what makes each product special, and then studied how customers describe their ideal cakes. The design uses warm, soft colours, elegant typography, and large photography, with a clean layout that lets the cakes take centre stage. We turned the ordering process into a friendly step-by-step builder, so choosing a cake feels as enjoyable as eating it, with a live summary and price always visible.

Technology and architecture
The store runs on Laravel with a MySQL database and a lightweight front end that loads quickly on phones, where most customers browse. Razorpay processes payments securely, and automated emails and messages confirm each order and send reminders before collection or delivery. The admin panel shows upcoming orders by date, with all customisation details and reference photos in one printable view, so the kitchen team always knows exactly what to prepare.
Overcoming technical challenges
Managing capacity was the key challenge. We built a scheduling system where each date has a limit based on the bakery's workload, and large or complex cakes use more of that limit. When a date is full, it simply disappears from the calendar, which avoids disappointment. We also designed the builder carefully for small screens, so that choosing options and uploading images works smoothly on any phone.
Results and impact
Sweet Symphony now receives accurate, complete orders around the clock, including late at night when customers plan celebrations. Phone calls for basic questions have dropped, freeing the team to focus on baking. Customers enjoy seeing a price and delivery date immediately, and the bakery has reached new customers through search and social sharing of the cake gallery.
